Peet's does have the perfect cup. I grind their beans at home for my own brew as well.

I drank Peet's coffee for 20 years and was a regular at the MP store. Then they sold out and went corporate, and the quality of their coffee became very uneven. Apparently it's just not possible for an organization that size to have consistent access to high grade beans. I remember when Starbucks was only in Seattle; they had good coffee then too.

You can really only get decent coffee at the smaller shops now, like Philz in Palo Alto or Connoisseur in Redwood City. If anyone knows of a place in MP that brews coffee for people who can tell the difference, let me know, because I'd rather support a local business.
