Helicopter pilot, Menlo-Atherton grad James Rowen dies at 32

James Marshall Rowen, a 1996 graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School and a helicopter pilot with plans to take his flying skills to Africa to monitor wildlife populations, died peacefully at home in Atherton on Dec. 6. He was 32.

Does anyone know how Mr. James Rowen passed away? He has a beautiful face, smile and he was so very young. My husband was bipolar and I noticed that the parents wanted donations to go to that organization. Any info would be of help to me.
