Noted speakers for Earth Day/Week

Original post made by Haydi Sowerwine on Apr 13, 2010

Trinity Church will host speakers on Sunday, April 18th and April 25th, from 9:30am - 10:20am, as part of their Earth Day/Week celebrations. All are welcome to hear these dynamic speakers.

On the 18th, Exec. Director Michele McGeoy and her youth team will show us how a non-profit is creating local green collar jobs and help us all think about a solar powered future.

On April 25th, Elton Sherwin, local author and dynamic speaker, will share his journey in writing his latest book, "Addicted to Energy" and explain why "being green is not enough". Elton is a venture capitalist and a member of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.

Trinity Church is located at 330 Ravenswood, Menlo Park.

In addition to the Forum events at Trinity on April 18 and 25, San Mateo Master Gardeners will hold a tomato seedling sale from 11:45 - 1 PM on Sunday, April 18. Ten varieties of heirlooms (and a few hybrids) sustainably raised, with Master Gardeners on hand to provide selection and planting tips!
