Atherton hopes to name short-term manager soon

Atherton City Council members are scrambling to find a short-term town manager until another interim manager is appointed next month after the unexpected Oct. 15 announcement by the assistant city manager that she is retiring, effective Thursday, Oct. 21 — one day before City Manager Jerry Gruber's last day on the job.

Editors: It dose not really matter if they ever find a City Manager or not. NO ONE will ever be able to "manage" the Police Department, not even the Chief-CLEARLY. Plus a City Manager does not even have the position to control the attorneys, only the council can do that-and just look how well that is working out.
