Stanford professor Joel Beinin will present a talk, “The Popular Uprising in Egypt,” at the Wednesday, March 30, meeting of the World Affairs Council Peninsula Chapter. Mr. Beinin is a professor of Middle East history and the former director of the Middles East Studies Center at the American University in Cairo.
Refreshments will be available beginning at 7 p.m. and the talk is set to begin at 7:30 in the Los Altos Youth Center, 1 South San Antonio Road in Los Altos. The free event is cosponsored by the Silicon Valley Red Cross Chapter as part of its annual informational seminar on International Humanitarian Law.
