Night-vision goggles, glow stick help rescue girl

Night-vision goggles and a glow-stick necklace were instrumental in a search-and-rescue team locating and rescuing a 5-year-old girl who disappeared from a family outing on Saturday night in the rugged forested hills west of Woodside.

Great results, Good job to all involved, Great this little child was wearing a glow stick necklace and had a flashlight.

Since it was the CHP with the night googles who spotted her, I think that statement stands alone....They saw her....enough said.

For the Sheriff's spokesperson to dismiss that is unnecessary.

"Lt. Ray Lunny of the Sheriff's Office disagreed, saying that the surrounding darkness of the park would have been sufficient to see the glow stick."

It's Great the CHP had a helicopter and it was available.

I support San Mateo County having a helicopter.

Great the child was found unharmed...Good job everyone involved.
