Former manager John Danielson out of the picture in Atherton

A contract approved by the Atherton City Council in late January to hire the town's newly resigned interim city manager John Danielson to help recruit a new manager and to advise his successor never went into effect, according to Mayor Bill Widmer.

Colorado calling ...

"Danielson most recently served as interim city manager of Atherton, Calif. He was forced to step down in January because the public state retirement system denied the town's request to extend his interim contract for another year, according to the San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News."
