Owed a property tax refund? Wait in line

Carol Flaherty waited a long time before she could claim victory in her effort to have her Atherton property reappraised at a lower value. Her patience was pushed beyond the limit, though, by the county's delay in refunding her money.

The supervisor of the failed department should be fired, as anyone in the private sector who fails the customer base would be. If you're being paid by the taxpayers at the managers level, there had better be accountability.

Sadly, I expect the usual public sector zero-accountability culture will prevail, though.

New improved software in 4 to 5 months? That will probably take at least a year and go over budget by 100%.

What's not to be satisfied with a 2 year return policy, why not make a 10 year return policy.
What on earth would take 2 years to cut a check.
