This article includes many interesting details -- I loved reading that he refused to accept ads for guns or the NRA -- clearly a man before his time on this as well as many other issues. Our region, state and, indeed, the world, owe a debt of gratitude for the growth of concern for Earth's environment that has been fostered through the pages of Sunset.
