Tonight: Public gets chance to learn about and comment on Menlo Park city labor negotiations

The Menlo Park City Council will hold a study session at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, to give the public the opportunity to learn about the city's negotiations with unions representing city employees prior to the commencement of the negotiations.

The Council and City Manager are to be commended for holding this meeting to inform the citizens and obtain their input BEFORE beginning negotiations.

Hopefully the citizens will respond to this wonderful opportunity.

The Menlo Park meeting this evening was a superb demonstration of transparency and citizen participation. Ray Mueller made some very wise and thoughtful opening comments about the process.
