Atherton council: DeGolia wins

Rick DeGolia has won the vacant seat on the Atherton City Council by a huge margin, with all precincts counted.

Back in the Summer Lewis and Wiest voted for DeGolia with Widmer and Dobbie voted against him, forcing the election.

Previously Widmer and Dobbie wanted the library in the Park until residents forced a vote on that issue and it was defeated 2-1.

Atherton has entered a new era, with a council that represents the residents views.
