Historic Woodside estate is still a summer home for the Fleishhacker family

Original post made on Nov 20, 2013

It's wonderful to have such a lovely and long-lasting family legacy.
In addition, the Fleishackers have been supportive Woodside neighbors.
The horse community is especially grateful for their making the Green Gable Trail a safe and enjoyable reality.

Many thanks to a great Family!

Happy Trails to you all!

I was lucky enough to visit Green Gables as the guest of Mort & Franny Fleishhacker some 15 years ago. The Roman pool was simply breathtaking, as was the view of the western hills. What a magical place.

As a life-long fan of its architect, Charles Sumner Greene, it was a thrill and privilege to tour Green Gables when the Fleishackers generously offered it as a decorator show house many years ago. It was an unforgettable day. Many thanks to the family.
