Enjoy our parks --- but clean up after yourselves

Original post made by Sandy N, Menlo Park: Allied Arts/Stanford Park, on Dec 9, 2013

Too often I pass by one of our parks and see garbage cans overflowing out into the street, which has, because of this, become littered with pizza boxes, soda bottles, partially-eaten sandwiches, etc. Crows, dogs, cats, and squirrels move this trash around and make for an ugly, if not also unhealthy, environment. The city empties these trash cans on a schedule, and you you may find little room in them for the trash stemming from your eventÂ… So, come on guys, enjoy our parks, but if your garbage does not fit neatly into the trash cans, take it with you and dispose of it at home.
