What a pleasure it has been to have the Menlo Art League display its works at the Library. We have had so many people comment on the excellent pieces. We will miss you!

Here's applause for the Menlo Art League's contributions to Menlo Park, especially its annual October Exhibit at the Menlo Park Library! The Menlo Art League has annually transformed a plain room with its members' thoughtful and exuberant creations for an entire month. Visitors were tempted to look at every contribution, then go look for those with ribbons, then walk around at least once more, to revisit favorites. Next October won't be the same, but we thank you for what we've enjoyed.

Like many gifts, the Menlo Park Art League has been overlooked by most of Menlo Park residents. Not knowing about this gift makes it easy to pass over the loss of a cultural gift to the City. The annual exhibit in October is right next to my work place in the Library. The art makes for a wonderful invitation to discover, a gift from our community. I will miss that invitation that I accepted for 22 years. One more treasure will be gone.
