Watch out for phone scams!

Original post made by Menlo Park Firefighters on Apr 2, 2014

Watch out for phone scams! Recently a vigilant resident called the fire district after someone called her asking for money on behalf of a firefighters foundation.
Menlo Park Firefighters do not call people and ask for monetary donations. If someone knocks on your door, calls you on the phone or sends you a letter asking for money on behalf of firefighters, it is not us. If you suspect that a solicitor may be trying to defraud you or a loved one, call the police.

If you want to support a legitimate firefighter charity or want to know which charities we support, visit or contact us though www.mpffa.org or find us on Facebook.

Be safe,
Randy Kelly
Vice President
Menlo Park Firefighters
