Atherton: Encinal students 'shelter in place' due to gas leak

A contractor working behind Encinal Elementary School in Atherton struck a small natural gas pipe this morning and caused a leak. Students were ordered to "shelter in place."

Is sheltering in place wise during a gas leak!!!

yes, read the article carefully. Fire Dept. was on scene. Gas line was outside not in the building.
