Are you curious about how finances work in the city of Menlo Park?

Tonight (May 25), Menlo Park City Manager Alex McIntyre will give an informational presentation on city finances and talk about what is included in the proposed budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

The talk will be in advance of the proposed budget going before the City Council for a scheduled public hearing on June 7 and potential adoption on June 21.

Council members and commissioners could be in attendance, but will not take any action, make decisions or deliberate, to comply with the Brown Act.

The presentation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. at the Menlo Park City Council Chambers at 701 Laurel St., in the Civic Center.

  1. Maybe the MPCSD Board and Administration should take a lesson from the city on budget transparency. Should however be a formal meeting so there can be questions and debate.
