Roberts market in Portola Valley: Commission postpones action

The Portola Valley Planning Commission on Wednesday night postponed action until Dec. 13 on a conditional use permit for the new Roberts market going in where John's Valley Foods used to be, near the corner of Portola and Alpine roads.

I love to read about whiny nuevo riche people complain that a slamming car door might disturb their royal sleep. "Those darn hourly employee clerks, can't they just serve us and shut up? I mean WE live in Portola Valley, we're better than they are."

quit complaining that a world class grocery is opening up within walking distance, at least not the maids won't have to drive ALL the way to Ladera.

I can't wait for Roberts to open. It has been a real inconvenience to not have a grocery store in PV. We should be making it easy for the Roberts family to set up shop in PV!
