Tap water safe to drink, say local water officials

Following a holiday weekend with reports of unpleasant changes to the smell and taste of local tap water, officials say the water system should be back to normal, and local water was always safe to drink.

The water may be safe to drink, but is sure isn't pleasant.

Today, it doesn't smell as bad, but it is extremely cloudy, and it still doesn't taste the way it normally does.

The cloudiness was just microscopic bubbles. Let the water set a few minutes and you'll see it clears. Just bubbles, that's all.
