M-A BEARS WORK HARD TO TAKE CARE OF ONE OF OUR OWN
Schools & Kids, posted by Kelly Todd, a member of the Menlo-Atherton High School community, on Mar 21, 2008 at 3:33 pm

Once a Bear, ALWAYS a Bear!!! One of our graduates from the Class of 2007, Sergio Zamora, is battling skin cancer and, as Bears do, we are doing whatever we can to support him! It is very important to us that we take time to take care of one of our own!

On Saturday, March 29 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at Menlo-Atherton High School, Leadership will be hosting a car wash in the front staff parking lot on the corner of Oak Grove and Middlefield. It is only $7 to have your car washed and only $10 for SUVs and truck-sized vehicles. All proceeds will go to Sergio’s family to help them pay for the very expensive procedures and medicine that Sergio will need to battle the cancer.

While at M-A, Sergio was an active teammate on the lacrosse team, a respected role model as a Freshman Transition member and served as part of the heart and soul of the leadership. He worked very hard on his studies and his rigorous schedule at M-A; as a result, Sergio was accepted to attend college at St. Mary’s in Moraga. He has currently taken time away from his studies to focus on his health.

Please join the Bears on Saturday, March 29 from 10:00am to 2:00pm for a fun day in the sun to take care of our own! Donations are very welcome and will be graciously accepted!
