Acrid smell smoke blankets Peninsula

An acrid smell of smoke from the massive Summit fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains has blanketed the Peninsula today. Firefighters should have an easier time today battling the blaze that has been burning since Thursday due to lighter winds and cooler temperatures, a Cal Fire spokesman said.
