Suspect in strong-arm robberies arrested

Palo Alto and Menlo Park police Tuesday night apprehended a suspect in at least some of the series of purse-snatch robberies in recent weeks. The arrest followed an attempted purse-snatch robbery in north Palo Alto at 7:20 p.m. and a successful robbery at Oak Grove Avenue and Middlefield Road in Menlo Park 25 minutes later.

Congratulations! As much as we are hard on the cops when they blow it, we should celebrate when they do a good job and get these cretins off the street. I see all the bashing of Palo Alto PD is always front page news in papers like the Palo Alto Daily, but this big story in was on page 6 of that bird cage liner today! Horrible. Good work Almanac for doing this right. Good work PAPD and MPPD.
