Atherton building inspector Kenneth Huo recently traveled to the earthquake-ravaged Chinese province of Gansu with a five-man team of volunteer Bay Area seismic safety and building experts. The deadly May 2008 quake, centered in Sichuan, is blamed for nearly 70,000 deaths.
