Well, he is who I thought he was. His first official act, the oath, and he botched it. Ummm, young skywalker, a hole in the force there is"...Master Yoda

Tom, much as you'd like to have your preconceived notions confirmed, I'm afraid you'll have to wait a while longer and think a little more analytically. It was Justice Roberts who botched the oath. Now go back to your Star Wars DVDs and behave yourself.

Senator Yee Issues Statement on Inauguration of President Obama

SACRAMENTO – Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco/San Mateo) issued the following statement on the inauguration of President Barack Obama:

“The highest political barrier in America has finally been broken and the ideals of our nation reaffirmed.

As the first Chinese American elected to the California Senate, I am proud to witness the tearing down of unfair and discriminatory hurdles to public service. President Barack Obama has proven what is possible in our country and has brought out the best in us as a nation. This inauguration is a great testament to the progress we have made.

No longer will any of our children, regardless of the color of their skin, feel that they are barred from the highest office in the land. All Americans can aspire to live their dreams and feel hopeful that they too will be judged based on their merit and the content of their character.

During these extraordinary times, I look forward to working with President Obama to help turn around the economy, put people back to work, heal our planet, restore hope here at home and respect around the world.”
