Mr. Howell, if you're going to write that Dante was assaulted at least write the rest of the truth that he and his comrades started the whole thing, also mention the surveillence video the police have viewed. And another thing, these two young chaps didn't go to seven eleven to buy chips and soda, it was beer for the after party, at least report the truth and quit making our football team look like the bad guys, we are good guys and just because of two rotten apples our name is being smeared. I also want to add (WE) are all glad Dante is going to be okay, and we'll be damned if this ever tarnishes our football team's name or Menlo College because we are responsible adults and care very much for our school.

Thank you.

I think this has gone on way too long. Having lived in the neighborhood for over 30 years, there has been no change. The administration of this Junior College, (YES, JUNIOR COLLEGE),
has never taken any responsibility for their stupid-nuts. (students).
Loud parties all nights, Bud-lite beer can trash, public urination, fighting, more trash, etc... The Menlo Park Police have no clue what patrolling is. They seem more concerned about hiding behind Oak Trees with their radar! This whole town is nothing more than a joke.
Let's get Jellins back here and make THIS A REAL CIRCUS!!

Garwood resident, you don't like it move! Kids will be kids! Thank goodness you don't live next to the real circus up the street at that little jr. college standford. Menlo (little Harvard) was here before you moved in and it will be after you die...so move!

Admirable comments TBT, but your school will need to make it up to the community in my opinion, although I've seen worse schools, time to clean up Menlo's act, would you all agree?

I've been a Menlo Park resident for 12 years, I live a block from Menlo, and I am glad I do. Great looking school, helps retain my property value and the young adults are great. Every now and then, there's a person that happens to be a student of Menlo that gets into trouble. So what? Leave the school alone. I love it when people move next to schools, and then spend the rest of their lives complaining about the school. THAT'S where there should be a law!

Mr or is it Mrs. truth be told: Having words in a bar is no crime. Beating a young man until he is close to death is a crime!!!Football is not to blame-2 stupid and very violent boys are to blame. Get the facts straight!!!

Harry, you obviously don't HAVE or KNOW the facts! Baseball bad guys started it. Have you seen the video? Don't post if you don't know what you're talking about! The bottom line is two stupid idiots are to blame, neither football or baseball should take the rap so all will pay the price for their stupidity, the good thing is Dante is fine and back in the fold, we'll be damned if either baseball or football ever allows this to happen again. GO OAKS!

truth-be-told, don't think this fish wrap is fair with its article demonizing football cuzz of two goons, if the writer had the facts straight of what happened that night all four guys would be painted the same way, but like in the game you know, its the last guy committing the penalty who gets flagged, never the guy initiating the infraction, you won't hear the good things we do at school, stupid fight makes the whole school look bad, sure would like to hear the writer's take on why nothing was mentioned about that video you're talking about, hmm?

Garwood resident complaining about loud parties and empty beer cans-
I apologize for your inconvenience. However, as you referring to a four year institution as a junior college, I catch the impression you must have attended a more prestigious academic institution. Was it Stanford? I highly doubt so, otherwise you would not be living in the Garwood apartments. Furthermore, the actions you have described as irritating are simply actions present at all Four. Year. Institutions. Perhaps if you do not like hearing college parties, or being in the vicinity of actions relating to college students, you should not have chosen to live within a half mile of a college. Just because you were the student who either bought his friends or simply did not have them, you have no reason to complain. Menl-LO.
I hope you enjoy the rest of our semester. Bro.
