Atherton fills revenue shortfall with reserve funds

The Atherton City Council moved to close a projected $1.5 million revenue shortfall with money from the town's reserve fund, augmented by a combination of budget cuts and parcel tax funds.

Many thanks to the old finance director for bulding up such a healthy reserve

In my judgement the Town never did provide a credible explanation as to the reason for terminating the former finance director after he straightened out the town\'s books and cleaned up the bulding department.

Its all the more strange that the Town is blaming him for its current financial problems.

Some things will always remain a mystery I suppose.

Was there any connection in the former police chief departing and the finance director firing/scandal/lawsuit?
