Rosewood hotel complex opens doors Thursday

As economy totters, "ultra-luxury" hotel complex is set to open on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park.

It seems incredible that all the reporting on the new Rosewood Hotel says nothing about whether it includes a ballroom large enough for major business and other groups. We note, for example, that breakfasts and dinners of over 500 people have to go to Santa Clara now that Rickeys is gone. The Cabana Hotel is the biggest around. Rosewood reports say only "a ballroom big enough for weddings, etc. No indication how many dining guests!! If the ballroom is small, someone should report that.
