Woman killed by train in Palo Alto

A woman who sat down between the Caltrain tracks north of the San Antonio station was killed late this morning by a southbound train -- a probable suicide. ==B Photo by Veronica Weber/Palo Alto Online.==

What a sad, sad, event. We had a family member take their life this way back in 2005 and what a tragedy. I feel for the train operator ~ an innocent bystander used to assist in an suicide. My heart goes out to all involved.
