Community celebrates Marion Softky

Lots of familiar faces turned out Sunday at the Portola Valley Town Center to fete veteran reporter Marion Softky at a celebration marking her 40th year of writing for The Almanac.

I enjoyed reading about Ms Sofkey, and especially when it was written by Ms Gemmet who's clear, crisp, capsules of information leave lasting lingering memories. I felt I got a nice little 'taste' of Ms Sofkey's personality through Ms Gemmet's words.
