M-A football lights: a permanent fixture?

The temporary lights brought in by Menlo-Atherton High for last week's M-A vs. Sacred Heart Prep football game proved so popular that there is an aggressive push taking place to make the lights a permanent fixture.

Measure J was not passed to further our national obsession with sports. Given the number of students who do not graduate from high school in this district, I think the bond money can be better spent.
