The M-A Bears Varsity Basketball Team advanced to the 2nd round of the Wildcat Shootout at Los Gatos High School with a 46 – 44 win over Willow Glen. Jeff Keller, Reed Foster and Nils Gilbertson led the way for the Bears with 13 points apiece. It was a close one for the Bears as their 8 point lead slipped away in the final minute of the game. With the score tied at 44-44, Jeff Keller drove down the lane for the go ahead shot with only 4 seconds left to play. Willow Glen took the inbounds pass and threw up a desperation shot that fell just short of the rim as time expired and the M-A cardiac kids won their second nail-biter in a row after defeating Sacred Heart Prep last week. Once again, M-A’s award winning 6th Man Club was in full force, cheering on the Bears. The next game for the Bears (2-1) is December 10th vs. Leland High School.
