Adding a stop sign on Coleman Ave. and Ringwood
Menlo Park, posted by Ann, a resident of the Menlo Park: South of Seminary/Vintage Oaks neighborhood, on Jan 30, 2007 at 1:43 pm

I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience: driving down Ringwood (the street that intersects Middlefield and Menlo Atherton High School) ... driving down Ringwood on a school day afternoon, seeing students walking on either side of the street in rows of three or more, and then trying to turn the corner on to Coleman Ave. when surprise- there are even more rows of students directly in my path when the turn onto Coleman is completed, totally invisable as of one second ago, impossible to anticipate-- and there is NO STOP SIGN!?!!

I am a cautious driver, and that includes being impervious to the drivers behind me who mistake residential avenues for Highway 101, and still, when I turn the corner at a crawl, probably 2mph, I am often alarmed at finding that my car is no more than 5 feet away from a row of students (no exaggeration). There should be a stop sign at Coleman Ave. and Ringwood, and a post or street lines stopping pedestrians from walking on the north side of that corner.
