Trail key day
Woodside, posted by Susanna McAdam, a resident of the Woodside: Mountain Home Road neighborhood, on Oct 14, 2010 at 3:08 pm

On Saturday, Oct. 23, all Woodside Trail Club members will exchange their gate keys for new ones. What a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Woodside's trailriding heritage and "horse country" image: let's all RIDE to the Mtd. Patrol grounds to make the exchange! I can't think of a more perfect excuse to use and appreciate our unique and beautiful trail system, and what a great follow-up to the Day of the Horse.

As you and your horses are trotting down and back to get your keys, please think about the rest of the town who are banned from those wonderful trails.

We have no keys. We have no access to the paths than chris-cross our towns and cut behind our houses. Our kids can't use these leafy paths to walk safely to school. We can't hike on those quiet trails to escape the noisy and speeding traffic.

There are MILES of trails, a HANDFUL of riders, and yet so many people who would enjoy and benefit from use of those paths.
