SHIPYARD ARTISTS HOST 16TH ANNUAL SPRING OPEN STUDIO

Public Invited to Buy Directly From Artists

Saturday and Sunday, April 28 and 29, 2007

11 AM – 6 PM

Free Admission – Free Parking

The artists of Hunters Point Shipyard, the largest artist community in the nation, are opening their doors to the public once again. During the legendary, super-sized Spring Open Studio, visitors have the opportunity to visit over 150 artists in their studios, glimpse into the heart of creativity, and enjoy the chance to snap up art at moderate prices.

Find out what many collectors have known for years– that the bi-annual Open Studio at Hunters Point Shipyard is the best way to make contact with established and emerging artists and to obtain art before it ends up in galleries. Visitors are likely to find something to match anyone’s taste, as the displayed art covers painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry, crafts and new media. And by meeting the artists directly and hearing the process behind their work, the public will gain a new appreciation for the arts and come away energized and refreshed by this dynamic artist community.
