Today: Sen. Joe Simitian to hold 'education update'

The public is invited to an "education update" by State Sen. Joe Simitian, D-Palo Alto, from 10 a.m. to noon today (Feb. 5) at Palo Alto Unified School District headquarters, 25 Churchill Ave. Simitian said he will offer an update on the governor's proposed budget.

Senator Simitian seems to realize that education is important.

We hope that other California legislators will realize that funding for education should come before high speed rail. That is being ignored.

Many of us will not vote for Governor Brown's tax extension until he takes a look at what high speed rail will do to our schools. (like going through school campusses, etc.)
