City to waste $24,000 on useless Greenhouse gas emissions inventory study

Original post made by totally-disgusted on Apr 27, 2007

Next Tuesday, our dear council is going to most likely approve spending $24,000 on one of Mayor Fergusson's pet projects dealing with the "city going Green". As part of her effort to endear herself to the "higher-ups" in the Democratic party, she and her non-Brown act advisory body have put up for a vote spending this money for another study.

What a waste of city resources and funds.

With so many much more important issues needing attention, this is what we are getting. No wonder we are outraged about the UUT; give them some money and they will just throw it away.

Well, only 18 more months of her tenure left, and surely she won't be re-elected.

At least try and stop this non-sense; show up and tell council this is without any merit.
