The weekend before last, I, and more than 300 other people, learned some skills that could help us someday save a life, by participating in the Palo Alto Area Red Cross Chapter's annual CPR Saturday.

Thank you for posting this. I think that this was clearly a great effort to increase awareness on safety, health, and first aid. But isn't it a fact that only 3% of victims whose hearts have stopped are actually revived by CPR? Web Link Thanks again!

Great article about CPR and First-aid training. I wish more people would learn CPR in case of a life threatening emergency. I know Safety Training Seminars offers AHA CPR classes in San Jose, CA. Web Link. Good luck.

it is true, and in the elderly can cause a lot of pysical damage to the rib cage, but if you were haviong a heart attack wouldn't you want people to at least try to revive you as opposed to standing around doing nothing? You might turn out to be one of those 3%.
