Summer Reading Program for children and teens
Atherton, posted by DeAnn Okamura, a resident of the Atherton: other neighborhood, on May 15, 2007 at 2:28 pm

The annual summer reading program begins at the Atherton Library June 1st, and runs through August. This year's reading program for pre-readers and elementary school children is called "Get a Clue". The theme for teens is "YNK (You Never Know)". Fun family programs and incentive prizes further encourage the reading habit. Come to the library beginning June 1st to pick up your reading log, and enter to win your choice of raffle prize. Children who read 20 minutes a day will earn prizes over the course of the summer. Upon completion, they will receive a prize bag and a paperback book. Teens need to complete at least 4 reviews (written or drawn) to receive a $10 gift card. They will then be eligible to win a $25 gift card, or an iPod upon completion.

The library is located at 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane in Atherton. Visit our website at www.smcl.org for information on this and other programs. Or call the library at 650-328-2422.
