The Triumphal Return

Original post made by Can't wait on Nov 5, 2011

John Johns, CPA received both a resolution of commendation for superb job performance from the Town Council as well as one from the Atherton Civic Interest League.

He is the only employee in town history, I believe, to achieve both honors.

With his intimate understanding of financial matters, experience at Atherton, recognized superb job performance, and tenacity to leave no stone unturned in looking for cost savings and fiscal reforms, there can be no better candidate for Atherton's finance director now that Louise Ho has voluntarily chosen to retire.

I hope Mr. Johns can be persuaded to apply for this job. I also hope the Town does not do anything to violate any of his lawful rights in not considering him for this position because of his prior complaints about police misconduct at Atherton.

Welcome back John!

Is this the SAME John Johns who was so maligned for months by the local lynch mobs?
I admire the man for his honesty and it will be good to know someone around is truly trustworthy.
Did anyone notice the FBI bust of three locals was NEVER mentioned as written two days ago in the San Mateo Mercury News?
Apparently, the FBI has never left town and have private auditors still working away. That is just heresay.

Like Chief Flint and Mr. Danielson, I'm retired. However, I let it be known to Mr. Danielson know that I'd be happy to be of service to the Town once again if called upon.

I know I've alienated some with my harsh criticism of the conduct of certain highly placed elected and appointed officials. However I have learned that the hallmark of trust is being told what what one needs to know rather than what wants to hear.

The San Mateo Mercury News reported that three people were arrested? What news paper is that, I've never heard of it. I've heard of the San Mateo Times and the Mercury News, but never the San Mateo Mercury News.

Well..............did you notice that the three locals who got arrested for crimes were not reported in our local news?
WHY is it that the Almanac does not cover local criminals being caught in good size busts dealing with politics?
It ALL is going to catch up with the guilty.
Hiding news is as bad a Fox News reporting it.
Tsk,tsk.

VERIFICATION CODE FILMED

Mr. Gordon:

just what newspaper reported these arrests? I'd be interested to read about it. Perhaps the local paper didn't report it because it didn't happen?

R. Gordon is too busy filming his computer screen while entering Almanac verification codes.

Hint: Codes contain both letters and numbers. Sometimes what appears to be a letter "o" is actually a zero and sometimes what appears to be the letter "l" is actually a one. There is no conspiracy and you're not Mel Gibson. Suck it up and try again... like the rest of us.

The only people arrested by the FBI were 3 San Mateo residents who were part of a 7 person group rigging auctions. None were public employees. Is this part of your "huge investigation" ?
