Facebook has announced it is donating $2 to the Menlo Park Boys and Girls Club, for every person who clicks "like" on the Facebook page: Web Link , up to $10,000!

The page just provides updates on the activities that Facebook undertakes in Menlo Park.

Dear Almanac,

Please consider supporting the Boys and Girls Club and this fundraising effort by putting it on your home page. If it's worth advertising the Peninsula Bike Party Event, it is certainly worth advertising the Boys and Girls Club fundraiser.

The Almanac has a lot of power because they have a lot of traffic and tons of readers. It would be nice to see them use their platform for good, not gossip.

Something to think about when you're as much of a community watering hole such as this
