Please FIX Bay Road !! -- very very BAD road surface
Around Town, posted by sunshine1, a resident of the Menlo Park: Suburban Park/Lorelei Manor/Flood Park Triangle neighborhood, on Apr 5, 2012 at 4:44 pm

Can someone please explain to the public why all work has stopped on the Bay Road restoration project --- pretty please ??? The subject in question is the restoration of the BDPL 5 pipeline work on Bay Road from Flood park to Marsh Road in Menlo Park. I frequently use this road which is why I am very interested in this subject.

This issue needs to be answered in this forum so that everyone is on the same page.

Can we please--please get at least a good and solid interim fix soon for the road surface of Bay Road ??

The SFPUC contractor Mountain Cascade was last working on Monday 4-2-12.

To repeat, this means that no progress (work) has been done on Tues--Weds--Thurs (3rd, 4th and 5th of April)

There has been absolutely no work since that time despite a very very bad and poor road surface . lots of pot holes have now developed down the center line of Bay Road. All too frequently northbound cars drive in the southbound lane to escape the very rough northbound lane.

I do not want anyone to get badly injured or worse because of the poor and messy condition of this major roadway

I do really really hope that my post helps get all parties back on the same page. The involved parties would be the SFPUC, city of Menlo Park, local residents and commuters.

Thank you to everyone for reading my post and concerns.

Incompetence?

Bay Road is a disgrace and a daily reminder of how totally incompetent is the City of Menlo Park. And the City would never allow this long term neglect to occur anywhere else in Menlo Park except here.
