Is Facebook going to make ANY commitment to actually hiring MENLO PARK residents??! For all the impacts (traffic, noise, pollution, etc). Doesn't everyone think that would be fair for the company to have some support for community!

Facebook will consider hiring MP residents, but only if they also happen to be graduating from one of the top schools in the nation. But if you're old, like, say, 30, forget it! You're not a fit!

You don't even have to be a college graduate. Zuckerberg is a dropout. You do need a track record of accomplishments, though.

Sounds like empty promises to me . . and kind of following in the same footsteps as another co (eh . hmm . . Google) which only hires grads from top-tier schools/universities.

Not sure why they would want to make a commitment to hire people from MP. As a business, they should hire whoever is best for their company.
