This is a video of Dave Pine's speech to the Board of Supervisors, December 16, 2008 it is a great speech on Democracy and the rights of voters and a great example of the Supervisors ignoring the requests to an election.

Dave Pine spent one million dollars to run against Gina Papan and Gene Mullin. Take a look at his smart voter page from 2002. He did not list a single endorsement. Mullin has the entire board of supervisors, and Papan had solid endorsements from her father's friends in SF.

District election will make it cost less for rich guys like Dave Pine to buy the election. Until then, Dave Pine will serve the real power brokers in San Mateo County.
