If they're going to start demolishing the old bridge on May 1, can I assume that the new bridge will be open before then? When is the grand opening ceremony? I've been watching them build the new bridge for months and it looks a lot nicer than the old one.

The new bridge is going to be open on Monday April 30. Yay!!! Much nicer than the old corkscrew design.

Caltrans said there is going to be a ribbon cutting ceremony but I don't know when it will be.
