Menlo Park squirrel infected with West Nile virus

A gray squirrel trapped by the county in Menlo Park has tested positive for the West Nile virus, San Mateo County officials said on Monday.

Not helpful information without a more precise area. Also plain silly to suggest everyone getting mosquito bites call the District. Plus who would value any information from that District given recent events!!

@Janet, I agree that a more precise location (neighborhood at least) would be more helpful. However, I would suggest a bit less cynicism on the vector control district. We've had the team in our neighborhood (near the creek) numerous times in recent years on the search for mosquito sources. I have found them to be completely professional and helpful. The scandal is with the oversight not execution.

Seriously, do they really want us to call if we have mosquito bites? What number do we call?
