County may ask voters to raise sales tax

The county wants your half-cent's worth of opinion on whether to increase the sales tax. After the failure of two tax increases during the June election — only a tax on car rentals passed, by a bare 197 votes — the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors finds itself confronting the same budget deficit with fewer options.

Spread the word...."not another dime" until systemic cost issues and waste are dealt with!

The options exist; the officials just aren't willing to consider ALL options.

Taxing is an option, but if the feds, state, county, schools, city, etc. all have their ways you and I won't have any money left to give them.

Elected Supervisor Dave Pine opposed this tax.
