Why would this public agency have a private meeting with it's developer and some neighbors who will be affected by this project.

Why was this reporter expelled?

How did this happen?

This is really odd. If there were any members of the public attending this (such as neighbors), and if it was held in the public library, I don't know how they could have excluded anyone else from the public. Did you talk to the reporter yourself? Did she give any details about their justification in throwing her out?

Curious,

I've e-mailed her but haven't heard back from her yet. The front page of today's Daily Post has her story titled "Reporter gets the boot." "Government officials meet in secret with neighbors over Transit Village." by Angela Ruggiero

Note: This is the same reporter that was following up on Caltrain's lack of public notice of the near-mis 76 MPH SB train and 10 customers stuck between 2 trains on Aug. 24, 2012

The Secret meeting was attended by,

John M. Ward who used to be a Supervisor of San Mateo County, but now is a consultant for R.E. Developers like Cargill and Legacy

Al Savay for the City of San Carlos.

Mark Simon for Michael Scanlon Excutive Director.

Brian Fitzpatrick of the planning department for the transit district

It's been reported that Legacy Partners has agreed to pay $11.7 million in fees to the City of San Carlos to build this.

Why the secret meeting?
