The collective IQ of Menlo Park dropped by 10 points during Biden's visit. But it was nice having the Plagiarist in Chief visiting us.
Joe Biden is the Vice President of the United States of America, and by any measure, immensely more popular and successful than a token anonymous poster who feels the only way to address her low self esteem issues is by posting baseless insults at successful Americans. Perhaps you should talk to somebody about your issues.
Mr Biden has an amazing life story. Pity some are so mean spirited that they have to ignore his success and demean that success in order to feel vaguely 'important'.
You are most certainly not.
"...at age 29, he became one of the youngest people ever elected to the United States Senate.
Just weeks after the election, tragedy struck the Biden family, when Biden's wife, Neilia, and their 1-year old daughter, Naomi, were killed and their two young sons critically injured in an auto accident. Vice President Biden was sworn in to the U.S. Senate at his sons' hospital bedside and began commuting to Washington every day by train, a practice he maintained throughout his career in the Senate.
In 1977, Vice President Biden married Jill Jacobs. Jill Biden, who holds a Ph.D. in Education, has been an educator for over two decades and currently teaches at a DC-area community college. The Vice President has three children: Beau, Hunter, and Ashley. Beau serves as Delaware's Attorney General and recently returned home from Iraq where he served as a Captain in the 261st Signal Brigade of the Delaware National Guard. Ashley is a social worker and Hunter is an attorney. Vice President Biden has five grandchildren..."
Good luck and Godspeed Joe, and Dr Biden! Mr Biden, please work more on our struggling economy.
Mr/Ms Timm, I look forward to seeing your photo in the print edition. Thank you for sharing.
Slate magasine said about Biden's plagiarism
"Biden's misdeeds encompassed numerous self-aggrandizing thefts, misstatements, and exaggerations that seemed to point to a serious character defect."
Biden plagiarized John F Kennedy, Robert F Kennedy, Hubert H Humphrey and British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock.
And Maureen Dowd of the New York Times was one of the people who exposed Biden causing him to exit the 1988 presidential campaign.
Biden is a gaffe machine. He is a true embarassment to our country. But we shouldn't be too hard on Biden because when he plagiarizes he actually sounds intelligent. However, when he is flying solo he sounds fairly unimpressive--to be charitable.
Please join us in the 21st century, when you can get over your issues.
I think that was when the Intel 286 ruled, maybe the 386 was out then. Years before George Bush (Senior!) had yet to look quizzically at a bar code scanner. The last of the Reagan administration indictments came down. Cell phones? Ha! Peeps carried these Web Link
Robin Williams was in Goooooooooooood Morning, Vietnam! (I need to netflix that, geez, it's been three decades!)
Nineteen Eighty Eight. The good folks in Delaware decided it was no big deal and elected Mr Biden maybe a half dozen times after that? And then his son as well, as their attorney general.
But you feel the need to keep it alive.
Please consider my previous recommendation.
Joe Biden's gaffes ares so embarrasing that even Time Magazine, known for its liberal slant, has put together a top ten list of Biden gaffes. Not only is Biden dishonest; he is rather obtuse as well.
Oh, Ms "Mensa"....
When Americans think of politicians and misspeaks, or "gaffes", Mr Biden isn't at the top of the list. Having wondered if you are tireless about "gaffes", I looked and looked and looked some more for Ms "Mensa" posts and the champion "gaffe machine", Mr Bush. Oddly, I found zero posts on the subject.
Therefore, it is easy to conclude that Ms "Mensa" is hyper-partisan and a hypocrite. Please prove me wrong by showing links to your complaints about Mr Bush's "gaffes.
But really, going back to Aug. 23, 1987 to find a "gaffe" (from your link)? Quite sad. I can only imagine what a list of "gaffes" I have compiled in the last thirty years!
You've gone from 1988, further back to 1987. Ms "Mensa", please consider my previous recommendation. Before long, you'll be back in the 1950's.
Which, in a way, seems somewhat appropriate.
He makes gaffes just about every day.
You're so kind, tolerant and thoughtful ("you must be as dumb".) And getting much more current, now you've finally found an example from last year!
You (and those helping you) must be SO PROUD!
But seriously, Hank, you've been playing this tune so long! Remember this ditty? "Now on to the Biden gaffes. He is truly one of the great enterainers of all time." That was from last year, but you've got some posts here going back much further, of course.
Still an official member of the CA Republican Party? Whoops! There you are, listed as District 4. Did the party ask you to not post this trash under your name these days, Ms "Mensa"? Funny, it looks just like the other half dozen posts over the last few years, all from our long lost buddy "Hank". There's the one from Oct 5, 2009: "You are an illiterate. ... See how weak the leftist mind is."
I'm sorry, I got it wrong, I listed your party without using their full, current name: The Bankrupt (fiscally and morally) Republican Party of California
Or as your GOP chairman Jim Brulte said about your official state party: "This is more like a bankruptcy workout"
And Ms "Mensa"? Jimmy's bankrupt republicans quote was from THIS YEAR. No need to go back to 1988.
There are hundreds of Almanac readers who think Biden is an embarrassment to the country. Keep guessing. You might get it right. Who knows?
BTW, this is what Virginia Democratic Governer said about Biden:
'you can't continue to make gaffe after gaffe after gaffe and believe that it's going to be supportive of what you and the president are both trying to do'.
Larry you should relax and drink a cup of coffee and have a donut. But remember "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."
[post removed - please don't speculate about identity of posters.]
EDITOR'S NOTE: I'm closing this thread because it's been reduced to two people sniping at each other.
