I was too young to remember when I first met Coach French - as he was a family friend of my parents. I was lucky enough to swim for him at Ladera Oaks and Gunn High School.. I always called him "Coach French Sir" in high school - hoping he would reduce my number of penalty laps during Water Polo practice when I wasn't as focused as I should have been..

Mr. French is a great man and I'm glad to have been blessed to have him as a role model in my life.

My best regards to Coach French.
