Around Town, posted by Editor, The Almanac Online, on Sep 21, 2007 at 1:44 pm

Jim Rapley, who died peacefully on Aug. 31 at 105, was a legend in his time. A third-generation rancher on Skyline, he ran cattle on Langley Hill for 55 years. Jamie Rapley is Tim Rapley's uncle, his father's brother. We are thankful to have received this piece for our records. We appreciate whoever sent it to us. We loved Jamie, he was a sweet man. He was a quiet man, but he had a lot of spunk. He always had stories to tell whenever we got together. He always made us some kind of meal even if it was spagetti or something. He was a kind man and loved his family. We loved him. He loved the view from his private place across from his house in the country. We are so glad to have known him; there aren't too many like him. Thanks, for letting us know. Love, Tim Rapley, Sr.
